Story
1 in 2 of us will get cancer within our life time. It’s not a statistic we often think about in our busy lives until it effects you or those close to you. Hearing of a close friend Hannah getting a diagnosis of Breast cancer at 36 years of age some months after loosing her brother to the same disease appeared surreal, unfair and purely unbelievable. My auntie, my work colleague Sandra & Adams friend and fitness partner Lee are also currently battling this life challenging disease. Adam knows all to well the physical and physiological strength needed to get through treatment after undergoing his own treatment for a rare cancerous skin condition in his teenage years. People with a diagnosis of cancer are often described as brave. For me it’s the mental strength and maintenance of positivity that I think is most inspiring. We are undertaking this tough 10 challenge to help raise further funds for further treatments and hopefully cure so people we know and love don’t have to be so brave. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we're fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Donate today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. Donating through these pages is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
