Story
Our world was turned upside down when we lost our Mum to cancer in December last year. She had suffered with lung cancer back in 2016 and was able to beat it after surgery. She bounced back and lived life to the fullest until she suffered with what was thought to be sciatica which turned out to be cancer again. She had secondary cancer tumours on her spine and in her oesophagus. Even to this day, they do not know where the cancer originated and it was put down as 'Malignancy of Undefined Primary Origin' even after extensive testing for months. Our mum was a fighter and she fought until her last breath as she didn't want to give up. Our Mum gave us support, strength and comfort when times have been tough. This leaves a massive hole in our lives. But we will draw strength from the things she taught us and the words she stood by. She would say ‘In life, you play the hand you’re dealt’. So we are doing this walk to raise money for Cancer Research in honour of our gorgeous Mum, the brightest star in the sky. We love you.
