Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. We don't run and we DONT like getting muddy so this is a really big deal for us but we are doing it for everyone who has been hit by this terrible disease. Sarah - I am doing it for my dad who is terminally ill with cancer. As you may already know I myself was diagnosed with cancer in 2010 and am fortunate enough to say I beat it. In 2012 my mum was diagnosed with breast cancer and after having a double mastectomy thankfully she beat it too. Last year my dad got diagnosed with cancer and unfortunately his story isn't so good. His cancer is terminal and therefore cannot be cured. Shanaz – I am doing this in memory of my Grandma who was diagnosed with terminal cancel last year, sadly she passed away a few months later. My Grandma was the heart and soul of our family, she was full of life and was loved by family and friends alike, her passing away has left a huge hole in our lives. But like all of you reading this we know so many more family members and friends who have been struck with this terrible disease. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
