I'm walking at Shine Night Walk to support my friend Eszter who is fighting Hodgkin's lymphoma

This summer I found out that a friend who is 31 years old like me, was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin's lymphoma.

She is currently fighting her way through chemo. I felt heartbroken and helpless from the news and I wanted to do something to support her. So I signed up for the half marathon Shine Night walk. Although this fundraising won't help her directly, it will contribute to the invaluable cancer research this charity does. It might even help improve the early diagnosis and treatment of lymphoma.

I'm holding my friend in my thoughts every day and because she is incredibly strong and positive, I'm confident she will come out of this as a winner.

Please help with even as little as a price of a coffee to support cancer research.

Thank you

With Cancer Research UK Giving Pages more of the money raised goes towards beating cancer sooner. Aside from the credit and debit card fees, every penny donated goes to Cancer Research UK.

All donations made to this page will automatically be transferred to Cancer Research UK.

Survival rates for many types of lymphoma has increased significantly – now, twice as many people survive non-Hodgkin lymphoma as in the 1970s. And four out of five people will survive Hodgkin's lymphoma, compared to fewer than half of patients in the 1970s. Help Cancer Research UK improve effective treatments and survival with your donation.
