I’m now more than a year away from my ovarian cancer diagnosis and surgery to remove the tumour, which is really positive. But always in the back of my mind is the knowledge that the type of cancer I had is currently untreatable. I have regular scans to check that it hasn’t returned but the lack of treatment available for this type of cancer is why research in the field is still absolutely vital. My Mum and Sister have written about the impact cancer has had on them on their fundraising pages; please do take a read as it’s so important to remember that its not just my life that was turned upside down by my diagnosis. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
