My Story
I’m at it again, this time it’s an actual live run! I ran a virtual fundraiser in June this year and pledge to raise money for CRUK again for the same reasons - here’s my story My story starts with Grandma - the kindest, wisest and most thoughtful woman I have ever met. My friend, confidant and greatest supporter. She initially got over cancer and a broken hip and lived a further 2 years before the big C finally took her from us. Nellie, my husbands mum and his biggest fan (apart from me ;) ) she was a tough cookie and always spoke as she saw it. We had good times playing bingo and watching the ‘turn’ in the local clubs, we miss her lots. Maureen, a diamond lost too soon. She made us feel like part of her family and always made us roar with laughter, good fun and sorely missed. All 3 ladies taken by cancer and all a big part of my life and that of my families life. I want to raise over £500 total so this fundraiser will hopefully take me over my target! Thank you so much
