My Story
I am starting from scratch with 9 weeks to go until race day. And not really at my fittest 10K is going to be a big challenge for me 😱 However I’m making a promise to commit to training and trying my hardest. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 10k to raise money and save lives. As me and my family found after loosing my Grandad last year (a year on race day) cancer is an absolute awful illness. And the way his life ended effect us all deeply just like it does for most families. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work. George Tweddle was the best Brother, Husband, Dad, Grandad, and Great Grandad that any of us could have ever asked for and we all miss him greatly every single day. I am running this race to help save lives, spare families of heartbreak and trauma and for him, my Grandad in memory of him and in celebration of him ♥️🖤
