Its not until someone close to you gets cancer, or you lose someone close to you because of cancer that you realise how important it is to find a cure. Earlier this year my dad had stage 4 cancer in his kidney, and consequently had an operation to remove the tumour and the kidney. Thankfully, he is now recovering, but I am aware that other people are not so fortunate. I never thought I would be taking part in such a big challenge, but the journey so far has been fantastic, and I just want to raise as much as possible to help find a cure so that other people and families don't have to go through what so many of us have experienced. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. Any money that you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure.
