Shine London 2019 - Full Marathon
Sat 21 Sep 2019 - Sat 21 Sep 2019
My Story
So here goes nothing.... I thought running my marathon in a month was going to be the biggest challenge I've ever set myself...but I have gone one step further....I will be taking part in a shine walk this September....a full marathon distance round London! However, this won't be as hard a challenge as what cancer patients go through every day. I've seen the effects of treatment, treatment not working and not knowing you have the disease until it's too late. I'm doing this primarily for my very close friend who although has had multiple surgeries, rounds of treatment, After 4 years she is still battling this awful disease. We need to find a cure!! I'm also doing this walk in memory of those in my family's lives we have lost, aunts, uncle's, grannys, grandads and mum's. Your loss of the battle will not be in vain... Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Even if it's only a pound, it all adds up to help raise money for vital research.. Thank you ever so much
