Shine Night Walk - Full Marathon
Sat 23 Sep 2017
For Jane, Jo, Nanny Eve, Grandma Brenda, Barbie, Granda Bob & Uncle Sam Porter, Uncle Geordie Hall
Cancer has affected our lives and the lives of those we love dearly for too long, and we wanted to help in our small way do something about it. We have both had long term injuries (I have two degenerative spinal discs, and Tusar has had multiple injuries on his right leg), which means that we are unable to run a marathon so this is why we are walking instead. It marks personal goals for us also, as a marathon is something that I have always wanted to do, and helps us improve our fitness, as we have been training for several weeks. Cancer Research is a cause very close to our hearts, and if you would like to sponsor us, we would be very grateful and we promise to give our very best on the night! Underneath, some information from Cancer Research UK: Each year Cancer Research UK’s scientists get closer to beating cancer, and they’ve helped double survival rates in the last 40 years. But we can’t stop there. Only with our continued support can they turn this research into breakthroughs that save millions of lives. Every single pound donated makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
