My Story
*TO BEAT CANCER SOONER* Through their research, *Cancer Research UK has helped double UK cancer survival rates* in the last 40 years: from less than a quarter to half. The burden of cancer continues to rise nationally and globally. In the UK over *330,000 patients are diagnosed with cancer each year*, and this is forecast to rise by 40% by 2030. The improvement in understanding of cancer combined with technological advances are enabling the development of new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat such complex diseases. *Funding is key* for research to find the answers to beat this disease. This is why I am asking for your contribution towards beating cancer. This year, once again, I am running the *Royal Parks Half Marathon* on October 14th with the purpose of doing some good. To contribute towards improving the lives of people around me and their loved ones. Please hit the *donate* button and support this cause. *2£*, the cost of a coffee, buys a box of microscope slides, just like the ones used in breakthroughs such as the discovery of temozolomide, which has saved the lives of many thousands of people. *5£* kits one of their ground-breaking research labs with essential chemicals needed for day-to-day experiments, helping to beat cancer soon. *15£* kits out a scientist with vital items to protect him in the lab so he can carry out life-saving research. Larger donations are obviously more than welcome! For *UK tax payers*, please include GiftAid as an extra 25% to your amount will be added! I am truly thankful to all the people that will join me in helping bring forward the day when all cancers are cured, as well as your support for my second half marathon. Love, Zoe
