Zantell's Race for Life

Hello and welcome to my fundraising page My best friend Ashley-Jayne has recently been diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. She is just 30 years old. Many woman do not think to stop and check for any kind of lumps in their breasts, especially at such a young age. Out of pure chance Ashley-Jayne decided to check hers that day and came across a small lump that has now changed her life. The frightening thing is she had no other symptoms to suggest Cancer and the lump could have easily gone unnoticed for much longer. Nobody ever thinks it will happen to them and now my best friend is facing the biggest challenge of her life. Thanks to Cancer Research UK they have fast tracked her to get the best possible support she needs, and the correct treatment. She will be undergoing an immediate mastectomy with the possibility of chemotherapy to follow. Hearing the big 'C word' and saying it out loud seems so surreal. You never think it will happen to you or somebody so close... By running the race for life 2018, I am hoping to raise funds for Cancer Research and show Ashley-Jayne how she is not alone and we CAN beat cancer together. Please if you can donate as much or as little as you can, every single penny is appreciated and WILL save lives. Finally, if you are unable to donate then please please do your part by spreading the word for woman to regularly check their breasts for lumps and spread awareness for breast cancer.
