January 11th 2016 is a day I will never forget, it’s the day my life changed forever, when I was told 3 words nobody wants to hear “you have cancer” Instantly I was on the worlds scariest rollercoaster, thrown into a world of fear, uncertainty and constant hospital visits. I am forever grateful to the people I dragged along with me, supporting me every step of the way, you know who you are. Today I am well, back at work full time and enjoying life. I was once told “well it’s all behind you now” the truth is it’s not, the treatment is brutal and while necessary, leaves some permanent damage. Things will never be the same again, and I’m learning not to panic at every ache or pain, and take things in my stride. My cancer was aggressive, and now through cancer research I have been given the best chance possible, with additional treatment to help stop it returning. I am doing race for life to give back what I can, for the priceless gift I was given. I love my life and I’m extremely grateful for everything I have. On a closing note, please donate if you can and everyone reading this please please check your boobs Love Yvonne xxxx
