Yu's Very 2020 Race for Life
My first time taking part in Race for Life was in 2015, joined a friend, did for a good cause. Spring in the following year, my mother was diagnosed with bowel cancer. The surgery and the treatment were successful although she is struggling with the digesting problem nowadays. That year, I took part in the race with gratitude that the advanced research of cancer helped saving the life of someone so dear to me. Since then I realized that cancer affected many people around me, a classmate in the silversmithing course, a colleague in the artisan group. At the beginning of this year, one of my friends lost her life to cancer, she was only 52! I am glad that I found a way to help, to contribute in searching for better solutions to cure cancer. 2020 is a special year, and it's my 6th time participating in this event. I am deeply grateful to everyone who sponsored me!
