YOZU ARE RAISING MONEY FOR STAND UP TO CANCER!

My Story

Cancer affects us all. Cancer is one fight every person on the planet can get behind. It doesn’t discriminate on how young you are, if you’re a good or bad person and even where you were born. None of these factors are considered when a full diagnosis is taken. The fight against Cancer is a cause close to all of the staff here at Yozu and we’ve decided that it’s time to stand up and make a huge push ourselves in the effort to finally beat this appalling disease. October 27th, we're all getting payback. Yozu are holding a 24-hour live stream gaming challenge to raise £2,500.00 for Stand Up To Cancer. October 27th also happens to be the exact date when the clocks go back so yes, you’re right the controllers will go down after the 25th hour has passed! Following the end of the 25th hour, All donations will be totaled and Yozu will double the finalised the amount. Throughout the 25 hours, a number of Yozu staff member will participate in a whole variety of games spanning numerous years. Expect to see some brand-new games like Red Dead Redemption 2, Fifa 19, Fortnite and even classics such as Crash Team Racing, Sonic the Hedgehog and many more. Wondering how your donation can make a difference to people suffering from Cancer? Take a look: £100 - 4 people giving £100, could help thousands of people through a very difficult time by giving them someone to talk to. £400 covers the cost of running Cancer Chat for one day. £50 - 11 people giving £50 each could buy a research tool at the forefront of revolutionary science and life-saving discoveries. £550 buys one next-generation DNA sequencing experiment, helping to reveal secrets about cancer. £30 - Can help improve treatments for patients with lung cancer by covering the cost of a trial for a day. Finding out if radiotherapy will pack more of a punch to cancer cells means we can stop the disease coming back after surgery. £15 - Giving £15 could help to tackle early diagnosis and prevention. You could cover the cost of a visitor seeking health information on one of our mobile awareness units. This way you are helping them to reduce their risk of cancer and go to the doctor early with any concerns. £5 - Giving just £5 can help beat cancer sooner. You could kit out one of our ground-breaking research labs with the essential chemicals they need - the bread and butter of day-to-day experiments. Every donation counts! Every pound you donate will be doubled! Together, as a gaming community, we can show cancer who holds the controller.

Stand Up to Cancer: LIFE-SAVING RESEARCH

100% of the money you raise goes towards speeding up life-saving research. Every day, scientists and researchers work tirelessly to beat cancer. But lab researchers will not get us there alone. Every penny raised helps speed up breakthroughs in the lab, transforming them into new tests and treatments for patients who need them. The research you fund will help us see 3 in 4 people in the UK survive their cancer by 2034.
