My Story
Great news is arriving!! I am doing it again this year but for different reasons and with a prolonged duration. π First of all, thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why Iβm fundraising for Cancer Research UK and specifically, for childhood cancer this year. You can read more information regarding my cause below. The quicker we can detect it, the better it is! I lost my mother because of COVID-19 and cancer last March. The last years have been hard for my family and I can appreciate what it takes for someone to get diagnosed with cancer. I also lost my grandmother last June, since she could not withstand my mum's loss. The last year has been mentally hard for most of us and this is why I would like to commit to stay active during the next 2 months. I have set up a 'Road to Hana' Virtual Challenge for 64.4 miles (103.6km) for the next 2 months (https://www.theconqueror.events/hana/). This year, I will both count walking and running, but not the yoga sessions. Similarly to last year, these will be there to help my body stretch so that it follows the same pace with my mind. ππ» I also decided to knit and donate two scarfs to British Heart Foundation this year. My knitting blog can be found here: https://beginner-knitting-lessons-learned.blogspot.com/ I will update regularly the page both with new content and with pictures, and will send you a newsletter every Sunday. π Thanks so much in advance for your donations! They mean the world to me.β€οΈ Stay all mentally and physically well and safe! P.S. 1 My last year's fundraising page can be seen here: https://fundraise.cancerresearchuk.org/page/angelikis-giving-page-2 P.S. 2 Similarly to last year, for credibility purposes I will use Strava to monitor my progress in running / walking.
