My Story
Cancer has affected family members ,friends ,work colleagues and patients known to me. They have all been courageous and inspiring in their battle against cancer .A wonderful colleague in our CCG Safeguarding Team, Maureen, suffered with it, she is held dearly in our memory . A friend is currently undergoing chemotherapy and another one is undergoing surgery. We hear of triumphant uplifting news of good response to treatment and we hear of sad news of progressive disease. I am privileged to be able to participate in this race. Together, with your donation, we can sow a seed and support the essential research needed for breakthroughs, prevention, early diagnosis, and cures which bring hope for families affected. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now.
