Jim Smith
My Story
Cancer takes those nearest and dearest to us all. We all know someone affected by it. My absolute hero and godfather Jim Smith passed away this year and I’m doing this in his memory. He faced obstacles every day up until his last and fought like a trooper. He was full of positivity and energy, which allowed him to raise thousands for cancer charities in his final months. He endured more pain than anyone should ever have to, but despite everything his life was fuller than most.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
