Together We Can Beat Cancer

My Story

Woodham Mortimer Cricket Club is raising money in aid of Cancer Research UK in support of our member Nigel Costin. Nigel unfortunately was unable to participate last year due to his own personal experience with this awful illness. However, the club is pleased to announce that a full recovery has now been made and that Nigel will return to in a playing capacity for the 2022 season. In March 2022 Nigel undertook the 'Walk All Over Cancer' challenge with the objective of walking a minimum of 10,000 steps per day. Nigel concluded the month with a total of 336,789 steps walked and £2,107.50 funds raised. WMCC will now do whatever possible to support Nigel's outstanding achievement and looks forward to welcoming his long-awaited return where we will be with him every step of the way! #UpTheWoodies
