My Story
Hi! I’m running the London Marathon in 2023 and fundraising for Cancer Research UK. CRUK is an amazing charity, that funds ground-breaking cancer research. Research that changes what we understand about cancer, and it funds some of the world's brightest people to go out and do the science that finds cures. Our family, like so many, has been personally affected by cancer. Sadly, my father-in-law Tom passed away recently due to cancer, as did my grandfather, Panka. There is so much hope for the future, and we need to fund the scientists working in cancer research, cancer specialists, and support patients undergoing treatment. Every day there are new breakthroughs, so lets help them to keep the momentum up!This will be my first ever marathon, twice as far as I’ve ever run before. Between now and April 23rd I will have to train multiple times per week, inevitably very early starts to train before work, or plodding around in the dark once the kids are asleep. The event will be the hardest 4 hours of my life, but it will be an amazing atmosphere with so much positivity, that I can’t wait to be on the starting line.
