On Wednesday 28th June West Lodge Day Nursery will be taking part in a fundraising event “Race for Life” to raise money for a charity close to our hearts, ”Cancer Research UK”. The race will begin at 10.00am (weather permitting), all children who attend that morning will automatically take part, for those who do not normally attend on a Wednesday morning session, all are welcome to join us for the event. We would also like to invite all parents, along with their families and friends to come along and join us and to support us is raising as much money as we can. Please confirm your attendance as soon as possible to ensure we have enough resources for all the children. “Our youngsters are the generation that could see ground-breaking treatments and cures for cancer in their lifetime. They’re the rising stars who could be the researchers and lifesavers of tomorrow. By taking part in Race for Life and uniting together against cancer, they’ll be doing something really special.” “Cancer Research UK receives no government funding for their research, so the more of us who join the fight against cancer, the more money we can raise to beat cancer sooner.” We will be meeting at the animal paddocks ready to commence the race at 10.00am prompt, fancy dress or pink clothing are optional.
