My Story

Our wonderful friend and colleague Gwen has been diagnosed with bowel cancer. As a young mum of two, she inspires us daily with her strength and courage. To show our love and support, our team at Probert & Williams Eye Care is taking part in Bowel Babe’s “Walk 44 Miles in October” challenge, raising funds for Cancer Research UK. Every step we take is in honour of her fight and to help fund life-saving research that will make a difference for her and so many others. Any donation, big or small, will mean the world to us and help bring hope for a brighter future.

CAUSE

Bowelbabe Fund

Fuelled by the spirit of rebellious hope - of choosing to remain hopeful in the face of overwhelming odds - the Bowelbabe Fund for Cancer Research UK was set up to continue the incredible legacy of Dame Deborah James. We raise money to fund cutting edge research into early detection and personalised medicine, raise awareness of signs and symptoms and tackle the stigmas around cancer with unflinching honesty so we can give more people affected by cancer more time with the people they love.
