My Story

Since 2023 our Wangford Vets walks have raised almost £5,000 for Cancer Research UK, receiving fantastic support from family, friends and the local community. Our April 2025 walk, a Doggy Dawdle takes place on Sunday 13th April, meeting at 10am on a circular route around the beautiful village of Walberswick. The distance is approximately 12k (7miles) We are inviting people to join us with or without a dog. The event continues to raise funds for the essential ongoing research to raise awareness, diagnose, and treat cancer. CAUSE

Breast cancer

With almost 140 women diagnosed every day, breast cancer is the most common cancer in the UK. And, although rarer, around 350 men are also diagnosed with breast cancer every year. The good news is more than two-thirds of women now survive 20 years or more. Help Cancer Research UK find new ways to diagnose and treat the disease.
