My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why we are fundraising for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! Pentreath turned 30 this year and we decided that this needs celebrating! We have spent 30 years helping the people of Cornwall with their mental health. Whilst celebrating we wanted to help raise money for Cancer Research as some people very close to us have suffered or died from this awful disease. A close colleague has been deeply effected recently and it is something that has effected of us all over the years in one way or another. In past events we have raised money for Sports Relief and Movember so we are now keen to help out another charity. We have a team of people who are going to walk Saints Way in one day....that's 27 miles from Padstow to Fowey. We also have other teams that will walk smaller segments of the walk but will still set themselves a challenge of achieving 7 miles in a certain time. We are asking friends of Pentreath to join us to raise as much money as we can and to celebrate World Mental Health Day together. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
