My Story
1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. I didn’t believe this until my husband Tim was diagnosed in September 2019 with brain cancer and given 1 to 2 years to live. He was 59 years old. Tim got less than a year and died in August 2020 - he just made it to his 60th but there was no big party - he was too ill. Before his diagnosis, Tim was the healthiest person I knew - he was never sick, he was a healthy weight, didn’t smoke, hardly drank and looked after himself. I will never get over the shock that cancer could take someone so healthy. This can happen to anyone; to you or your loved ones. Brain cancer is a horrifying way to die. We must fight to get more research done to try to stop people from getting this terrifying disease. Please support me. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
