In memory of
I honestly cannot fit all the names of those who have been taken from my life and heart by cancer.
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. As most of you will know by now, I lost the most amazing mum, friend and of course grandma to a very rare form of lung cancer. This year marks the ninth anniversary of her passing. But mum isn’t the only person who I, my friends and my family have lost to this abhorrent disease. So, in honour of ALL of you who have been touched my cancer in one way or another, I’ll be doing my annual 5K hobble on my crutches to hopefully raise some much needed funding to help Cancer Research to continue with the excellent work they do, to fight against cancer, and to hopefully find a cure for every single type! I appreciate that we’re not out of the pandemic yet, and we really are all feeling the pinch of the cost of living, but if you could spare even £1.00, I’d be incredibly grateful to you!
