Victoria's Race for Life
Chester 5k 2020

In memory of
My mum Kate
So I'm coming out of retirement, and planning on slow-jogging the Race for Life again this year...old lady dodgy knees permitting! Now I know there are people in the world who can run marathons, but that is not me. Friends, as you know, 1) I'm not sporty, 2) I hate exercise and 3) I'm not a natural runner. 5km for me might as well be a marathon quite frankly, and I'm only doing this to raise a few pounds for a great cause. Family Rogers has sad history with cancer but in the 17 years since we lost Mum, survival rates have gone up tremendously. Research is working, something we are hugely grateful for as we square up to it again. The treatments available to Dad are amazing and just show what your donations will help Cancer Research UK do. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to their groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me - donations small or slightly bigger are all very gratefully received. And if you're a UK taxpayer, please tick the gift aid box to make your donation work harder at no extra cost to you!
CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further. Help Cancer Research UK improve results even faster.
