Victoria's Race for Life

My Story

Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. Most people that know me knew my beautiful mother, sadly she lost her battle to cancer in 2005. Those who had the privilege to meet her will know that this terrible disease does not discriminate and my mother was taken far too soon. I have also lost other family members including my grandad Jimmy and grandma Joyce. I have watched family, friends and colleagues fight this disease. It has touched the lives of many and it's time to stop this. My beautiful friend Rebecca is currently on her second journey fighting this disease and will also be taking part in this race for life. Together with other friends we want to raise as much money as we can to help find a cure and prevent more people going through this. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
