My Story
Hearing the words 'Your son has cancer' still rings as clear today as it did 5 years ago. Words can not describe how hard it was to watch my Sean battle cancer for 10 long hard months before his poor body couldn't take any more. Only 4% of funds raised goes to child cancer research and children have to under go the same treatment as adults do because of this. Cancer has had a unmeasured impact on my life, so I wish to raise money to help research and hope that more money will go towards child cancer research. Maybe by raising money one less person won't have to say goodbye to their child forever. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
