My Story
In July, I’ll be running the Newcastle Cancer Research UK 10k for the third time — and this year it means more than ever. 🏃♀️💜 I’m running for my mental health, for the friends and family affected by cancer, for those I’ve worked with, and for the countless people I’ve never met who’ve bravely faced cancer or cared for someone who has. I don't get much free time, but whenever I can, I am out 3–4 times a week, training for 45 minutes. This May I was fortunate enough to complete the Gateshead and Sunderland 10ks in 52 and 48 minutes, and now chasing a new personal best of 45 minutes before I take on the Great North Run in September. This isn’t just about crossing a finish line - it’s about strength, health, wellbeing, and making my kids proud. If you’re able to support, share, or cheer me on, it would mean the world.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour.
