I'm taking on a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money in memory of my Mum & Dad, and to help raise money to continue essential research and beat cancer sooner.

Kerry O'Connell

Our wonderful Mum died last July after living with breast cancer for 25 years. In that time she raised three girls, dedicated herself to working with children with special needs, and raised funds herself for various cancer charities. We have resolved to continue her incredible legacy of kindness and compassion by raising as much money as we can in her name. We lost our Dad to a brain tumour in 2010, and so we Race for Life in his memory too.

Cancer survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years. Consistent progress is being made but improvements to technology and ground-breaking work offer new opportunities to find different ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer and improve survival rates even further.
