My Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I’m fundraising right now for Cancer Research UK. There’s no time to lose! I have completed the 5k Race for Life, so now my next goal to run the admiral Swansea Bay 10K this month (September). I like many others have been unfortunate to have lost a loved one through cancer. I also continue to nurse many patients who are or have had some kind of experience of cancer at one time or another in their lives. My aim is to raise as much as I possibly can to help cancer research UK to develop and improve on their research into the early diagnosis of cancer, therefore, hoping that new and quicker methods will be soon achieved to detect cancer sooner. Spotting the signs of cancer earlier can make a huge difference to an individual, thus meaning starting with the correct treatment and sooner therefore hopefully improving survival rates.
