My Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer sooner. This is a cause which is close to my heart. My grandad died in September 2008, he had multiple different types of cancer. He was diagnosed when he was about 60 years old - Just before I was born. I watched him suffer for 18 years. Although I never knew any different, to me it was normal - this should not have been the norm. I was heartbroken the day I found out that he had died, and that he could not fight anymore. I miss him, and can not help but feel that he would still be here today if he had not been ill, and if he had been cured. My husbands nana died in January 2008 on Pancreatic cancer - she had only just found out 4 months prior that she had this illness. We were all devastated the day she died, she had seemed so well only days earlier. My nan, who is 100 in May 2018, has breast cancer. She was diagnosed when she was 93. She is suffering and is limited in treatment. If we can raise more money, we may even be able to help the 90+. Help me Walk All Over Cancer and fund life-saving research by sponsoring me. Donating through this page is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with Cancer Research UK.
