In memory of
Philip Wilford and Madeline Duncan
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This March I’m walking 10,000 steps a day throughout the month to help beat cancer. That's 150 miles over the month or the distance from London to Manchester! I'm power walking all over West Norwood and Streatham every morning to support Walk All Over Cancer and fund vital life-saving research. In 2018 I lost my beloved Dad, Philip and my wonderful Aunt, Madeline to cancer. My Dad was 67 and my Aunt was 53. Both were diagnosed with very rare forms of the disease but despite the very best of care we lost them both from our family after a five year battle. It has been a very difficult few years for all of us, especially for my Mum, who lost her husband and sister in the same year. Both were far too young to leave this world, and before this happened we never, ever thought this could happen in our family. But it did, and it can, to anyone. My pictures show my son Theo, now aged 5, who will never know his Grandpa, and Madeline with her family and children, the eldest of whom had just graduated from college when she passed away. When I saw Cancer Research UK calling for people to take part in this campaign to walk 10,000 steps a day I knew it was the right time to take part and put my power walking to good use - in Dad's and Madeline's memory and to raise money to Walk All Over Cancer!
