I'm not a runner, by any stretch of the imagination, but I've been inspired by Char, who I work with, to give it a go. I'm starting to train next week and I'm hoping I'll be a bit fitter before I run the 5K.

So, I've done it! It was SO hot, but I was determined to run as much of it as I could. I ran over two thirds of it in total, alternating between running and walking. I completed it in about 47 minutes, which I was thrilled with, considering the extreme heat and the fact that I am actually only halfway thorough my C25K training app! Thank you to all those who sponsored me - it makes such a huge difference.

I may have started my 'training' a little late, but I am working hard using the C25K App. I was up at 5.45am this morning and went for a session. This morning it was alternating between 3 minutes of running and 3 minutes of walking. I completed just over 2 and a half miles in total! Not sure that I will be running ALL of the 5K next week, but I am determined to run SOME of it. I'm also going to make sure that I keep going, even after next week's run, to complete the 6 week training programme. I may even repeat it again, as I know it is helping me to get fitter. Anyway, next week I'm going to do a longer circuit, which will be about 3 miles in total, so hopefully I will be even more ready for the big event next Sunday.
