My Story
Over the next year, I will be completing multiple activities to raise money for both Cancer Research and Prostate Cancer UK. The first of these events is the Worcester Pretty Muddy 5K in July, The second will be a skydive for Prostate Cancer UK later in the year (more about that later!) After a tough year, in which my life has changed massively, it has become so important for me to challenge myself and push myself out of my comfort zone and begin to do the things that I have always said I would! So, over the next few years I am determined to not only achieve my own personal goals, but also to do as much good, and help as many people as possible. I am not a massive runner, and i'm certainly not a massive fan of mud, but that's exactly why the 5K Pretty Muddy is a good starting point. I'm not aiming for a winning time, I am simply hoping to finish (hopefully still in one piece) and to have fun whilst I am doing it! And then maybe I'll come back for the 10K next year! Cancer is something that has and is having a huge impact on my family. My Grandad is currently undergoing treatment and it brings home for me the importance of early diagnosis, effective treatment and the fantastic work of our doctors, nurses, researchers and volunteers in our hospitals. It also makes me incredibly grateful for the strong family I have to support both my Grandad and my Grandma. Over the next year, I will be completing numerous events that I will be raising money for, any small amount that you could donate would be so appreciated, and thank you so much for your support. BRING ON PRETTY MUDDY 5K!
