My Story
Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life Pretty Muddy to raise money and save lives. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor me now. Working for the NHS I am exposed to stories of how cancer affects people and their families on a day to day basis. On a personal level I have had a grandmother, mother, aunt and sister in law all affected by breast cancer, a step son that I never met, who was aged only 16, with a very rare form of cancer and now my husband with prostate cancer. It is an evil disease and we need all the help we can get with raising funds for research to try and find a cure and soon. It's not just peoples health that is affected, it is it's mental, physical and financial effects too, to name but a few. I am not a runner by any stretch of the imagination but I am going to try and do this to help others (and hopefully have a bit of fun as well). Please help by donating to my Just Giving page. Thank you.

CAUSE
All Cancer Types
Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
