My Story
In June I lost a dear friend to breast cancer. She was only 50, and one of the best people I have ever had bless my life. She added laughter, colour and love to every situation, and supported my choices as long as they were to make me happy. Emma was very creative and crafty, her ideal day involved experimenting with cupcake flavours, making pompoms and gifting everything to her friends who she loved. Together we decided to have a big Body Shop party to raise money for breast cancer because Emma loved the products (especially the fuji green tea range) and her aggressive and rare strain of cancer meant that she and others like her were in the category of 'untreatable cases'. I refuse to do nothing and know that people just as special as Emma aren't able to get treatment because the research isn't there yet. I urge you to help close that gap and do your part to fund the research so no one has to fight a losing battle. If you would like to attend the fundraising event with Body Shop pampering at Bracebridge Heath Social Club on Saturday 28th July, please go to the Facebook event page at https://www.facebook.com/events/479886745784048/?ti=cl and follow instructions there!
