+ £196.50 Gift Aid
Thu 18 Nov 2021
We've joined the Football Shirt 'Thursday' squad to help tackle bowel cancer. The Financial Accounting and KW Stats Team will be holding the Charity Day on the Thursday 18 November internally in Veolia, but on Friday 19 November, the Bobby Moore Fund are calling on people across the nation to wear their favourite football shirts, share a selfie on social media using #footballshirtfriday and donate to the Bobby Moore Fund. 100% of the money raised will go towards funding pioneering bowel cancer research. We have not had one of these Football Charity Days for a number of years, so please support and participate generously this year.
Bobby Moore Fund
Bobby Moore was just 51 years old when he died. Shortly after his death in 1993, Bobby’s widow Stephanie Moore OBE set up the Bobby Moore Fund to raise money for pioneering bowel cancer research. Since the fund was set up , bowel cancer mortality rates have fallen by over 30%. However, with 46 people losing their life to the disease every day in the UK, we still have a long way to go.
With Cancer Research UK Giving Pages more of the money raised goes towards beating cancer. Aside from the credit and debit card fees, every penny donated goes to Cancer Research UK.
All donations made to this page will automatically be transferred to Cancer Research UK.
