My Story
In 2021, in England alone, 134,802 people died from cancer. A half marathon is 13.1 miles (21.1 km). That means every mile I run in this race will represent 10,290 individuals who lost their lives to this disease. One of those individuals represents my Grandpa; he lost his fight to prostate cancer 3 years ago. He was a great man who had many more years left in him, but this time was robbed from him, his family, and his friends by cancer. His loss, and the loss of every other individual that has died from this disease, is what puts Cancer Research UK close to my heart and is why I chose to fundraise for them during this race. In recognition of those 134,802 people I'm aiming to raise £1348.02 in the hopes of reducing that figure each and every year until we truly beat cancer. Thank you for listening to my story and I appreciate any donation you are able to give.
