My Story
We are doing this charity bike ride in remembrance of Darren's late father-in- law Jeffrey Miller who passed away on the 25th May 2020, the funeral was on the 22nd June and the family wanted to do a collection for Cancer research but couldn’t due to the COV19 Restrictions. Darren had an idea of doing a bike ride in memory of Jeff. As from the 22nd March – 25th May the family was not allowed to go and see him, As he was moved from Pilgrim to a Nursing home in Spalding where he sadly passed away alone, So this made Darren think he needed to do something in memory of him and others that have had the same thing has happened to them. Having suggested the idea to his workmates we found ourselves up for the challenge and to show our support. This is for a great Husband, dad, Grandad and Father-in-law Jeffrey Charles Miller. Thankyou All of us at Turnbull in Boston have a direct link to Cancer, be it a Member of Family, Friend, Colleague or Customer and even one of our Directors. Cancer affects anyone regardless of age, sex or ethnicity. Its effects are humbling On Saturday 1st August we will set out from the Branch in a group of 5, heading to Skegness Pier along the A52. From there heading over to Partney Roundabout and heading back to Boston via Spilsby, Stickney and Sibsey on the A16. Then cutting over to Frithville, Antons Gowt and arriving back into Boston along the River Bank. A nice Ride of Approx 60miles in total. All money raised will be donated to Cancer Research if you cannot donate on here there will be Sponsor Forms in the Branch and a collection Pot. Please support this worthwhile venture, we are a mixed group with no professional cyclists and have a Training Program to get us ready for the task.
