My Story
Thank you for visiting my Fundraising Page. I am taking part in the Deloitte Ride Across Britain in September 2022 to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. This ride is from Land's End to John O'Groats covering a distance of 970 miles in 9 days. I am taking on this challenge in the hope that a cure for cancer can be found. Some years ago I had a childhood friend diagnosed with cancer and lost his battle within just 6 weeks. Another close friend is currently winning his battle against cancer however has had a huge impact on his lifestyle as well as his wife and children. My hope is that with funds being raised for this great cause that a cure can be found and these battles will no longer be needed. Any support you can provide will be greatly appreciated. The money I raise will help fund life-saving research and to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.

Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
