Tracy's Very 2020 Race for Life

So.... just after the start of lockdown my neighbour starting a local group to encourage those on our estate to complete the Couch to 5k! Over a dozen of us turned up several times a week, following the app, supporting each other, cheering each other on when things got a bit tough. It was also an opportunity to get out of the house and meet - following social distancing guidelines of course! All part of helping our mental health well being as well as out physical well being. We named ourselves Holland House Runners, the son of one of the group created a fab logo for us and we continue to meet up to improve our speed and our distance! So as a celebration of our training, and as the formal Race for Life events have had to be cancelled, we are doing our bit to raise awareness and hopefully some needed funds to help fight cancer - I am sure there are many reading this who know someone they love who have been affected by cancer. We have created our own event where we will start and finish on our estate car park - where we meet for training, encouraging supporters to come and cheer us along and have a bit of a celebration at then end - which we may have to be flexible on depending on the Covid guidelines at the time of the event! As part of this, the Holland House Runners have joined our Just Giving Pages together as a group so we can collectively raise as much as possible in these difficult times - so please if you can give just a little it would be greatly appreciated!!
