Tracie’s Race for Ben

I’ve dusted down my trainers and will be running 5k on June 5th in the Penzance Race for Life. As you know, my gorgeous nephew, Ben, died of a brain tumour in February this year. He lived with a terminal prognosis for over 6 years and did so with amazing courage. My profile photo was taken 3 days after he was told that the tumour had spread, and the inevitable would happen. Imagine! The next 3 months were brutal, and in spite of it all he faced death without self pity and he didn’t moan once. So, if Ben can do that, the least I can do is get my sorry ass off the sofa and run 5k to raise a bit of money in his memory. Anything you can give will contribute to the research needed to fight this cruel, cruel disease. And it will help keep me motivated too as I gasp for air, probably at about the 1k mark.
