My Story
We're joining Cancer Research UK's Race for Life again this year. It will be Tracey's 9th Race for Life, and Kara's 7th. For those who don't know our story, Tracey started regularly taking part in 2008 because her Mum-in-Law had been diagnosed with breast cancer. When Kara was born she started participating too. In 2012 our Mum/Grandma was also diagnosed with breast cancer. However, her cancer had already metastased to multiple organs around her body. Her cancer was incurable. She fought, bravely, for almost a year, but sadly the cancer was too advanced, and in November 2013 she died. Many of our friends and family have been touched by cancer. Some are fighting a battle with cancer. Some have survived. Many have not. Please join the fight by digging deep and sponsoring us - it's quick, easy and totally secure. Events like this are vital in funding Cancer Research UK's life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer. By sponsoring us, we can unite and create an army that cancer can't ignore. By sponsoring us, we will beat cancer sooner. Don't forget to add Gift Aid. If you're a UK taxpayer, please remember to tick the Gift Aid box as this will increase your donation by at least 25% at no extra cost to you. Sponsor us now, and help Kara and I show cancer that we're not messing!!! 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s groundbreaking work, so please sponsor us today. Thank you.
