World record attempt
Sat 11 Mar 2023 - Sat 1 Jul 2023
Earlier this year, I as one of the Ealing Trailfinders U15s squad was diagnosed with cancer. This was a shock for me and all who know me. Cancer is often thought as something that affects older people but that is not always the case. As I continue my fight against the disease, my team mates wanted to do something positive. They play in an exhibition match before Ealing Trailfinders Championship game on Saturday 11th March to raise funds for Cancer Research UK to help fund the research into how to improve remission rates, and ultimately find a cure, for this dreadful disease. They are now, along with lots of other great supporters at the club, holding a world record attempt for the greatest number of people at a rugby training session. This will be at Ealing Trailfinders on Sunday 7th May. Please come along so that we can smash the world record, and please join the club and my team mates in showing support for this great cause!
CAUSE
Lymphoma
Survival rates for many types of lymphoma has increased significantly – now, twice as many people survive non-Hodgkin lymphoma as in the 1970s. And four out of five people will survive Hodgkin's lymphoma, compared to fewer than half of patients in the 1970s. Help Cancer Research UK improve effective treatments and survival with your donation.
