Shine Night Walk London 2022 - Half Marathon
Sat 24 Sep 2022 - Sat 24 Sep 2022
In memory of
My Dad, who died from prostate cancer
We have decided to complete the Shine Walk on 24 September, in memory of those we have lost to cancer. We have all been touched - losing parents, family and much loved friends to this hideous disease and wanted to do something to raise funds in the quest to find better treatments and hopefully one day cures. As you will know, we have all played for Nomads Korfball Club (some of us still do) – fitness, determination, strength, motivation and drive are all the qualities needed to play.. unfortunately we have channelled none of these for this event as life has got in the way and time moved faster than we realised! So, this challenge will be even more so with our various ailments, aches, strains and possibly one or all of us losing our sense of humour in the wee small hours… so to help focus our minds and stay motivated please make a small donation to help us reach our target for Cancer Research. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Every single pound you donate makes a difference to Cancer Research UK’s ground breaking work. Donate to my Giving Page today and help bring forward the day when all cancers are cured.
