Tina Walks All Over Cancer

I'm taking part in this fundraising challenge to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I came across the Cancer Research 'Walk All Over Cancer, March 2018' online and thought I would give it a go. What a great way to raise money, not just one walk but walking every single day for a whole month. It's quite a commitment but I am totally up for the challenge! If the money I raise helps to save just one person with cancer or even to make the life of someone living with cancer easier then it will all have been worthwhile. I'm walking in memory of my mum, Janet Dyde, (1941-1997). She was only 56 when she lost her life to breast cancer - way too young to go. Although she was lucky enough to have met her eldest grandchild, her two youngest grandsons sadly never had the chance to know her. I know she would have totally adored them all and if she was here now she'd be walking with me and with them. So throughout March 2018, I have walked in all weathers, although mostly in the rain and snow it has to be said; who would have thought it would snow twice in March.. thank you 'Beast from the East' and 'mini Beast from the East'! The sun did come out once or twice but overall we did not see much of it, not that it mattered as this has been a wonderful experience, one that I am proud to have been part of and proud also to have raised funds towards the great cause that is Cancer Research UK. I should also add that I am up for many more days of '10,000 steps a day' if anyone else would like to walk with me and donate... just get in touch!
