My Story
Almost everyone is affected by this awful disease one way or another; many of us have a family member or a close friend fighting it at the moment. Cancer is happening right now, which is why I'm taking part in a Race for Life 5k to raise money and save lives. I am not an athlete yet set to raise funds to give a fighting chance for everyone. 1 in 2 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime. Cancer is complex. There are over 200 types of cancer, most of which have different biology and behaviour. With your support, our dedicated researchers can continue to discover better ways to prevent, detect and treat this disease, and bring about a world where everybody lives longer, better lives, free from the fear of cancer.
