Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This January I’m taking on Dryathlon and raising money for Cancer Research UK by ditching the drink for one month and fundraising for life-saving research. Our family, like all too many others, have experienced this horrible disease with three generations being affected. Sadly, not all treatment is successful and not all cancers can currently be treated. I was one of the lucky ones having finished my treatment on 24th December 2015, I am still having regular check ups which have so far shown the treatment to be successful and long may it continue that way. Despite knowing that the treatment may well save your life, it is a very difficult and painful process to go through, and I don't think I would have made it without the support of my family and friends, especially Wendy, for which I will be eternally grateful. Whilst there are so many people who seem to spend their whole life moaning about the state of the NHS, their time and energy would be better spent supporting the doctor's, nurses and support staff who have to deal with cancer on a daily basis and do so with the utmost compassion. Please help to make their job easier by sponsoring me, and offering me a shoulder to cry on when i'm craving a nice pint of beer or glass of red wine😥 .
